I was sitting on a patio on Bloor St today and was a little confused. A truck pulled up at the side of the road and started power washing a dose box. He then used a towel to dry it off, got back in his truck, and drove away.
I don't think Dose is a great paper, but you have to give them credit for the promo they are doing. Everywhere I turn I see an advertisement for them. I can't walk to the office without having 7 people try to shove a copy of it on me. And apparently, they have very clean distribution boxes. How many other daily papers actually get guys to drive around in trucks with a power washer?

New Profession: Mechanic

I changed my own tire last night!

After running around trying to get my visa sorted out to get the the states this summer, I heard a hissing noise coming from my tire, and discovered a nice big crack in the sidewall (I don't think that is supposed to happen). I got home with it alright, and when I got home, my mom told me to take it somewhere to fix it. Why take it somewhere to do it? I have a jack and a spare in the trunk! So off I went about changing my own tire. I am very proud of myself, the new tire hasn't fallen off yet....

Maybe I will go work in a garage if I don't get my visa in time to go to camp.

What makes a blog?

Rhys is now suddenly the judge of what makes a good blog and what counts as a blog entry.

Check out his site, it will apparently demonstrate the perfect example of a blog. Apparently, all you need to do is update once every 6 months, and ramble on for a couple hours and you will have a "real blog entry."

I always thought a blog was a place to put down whatever random thoughts you may be having, a place to share things that you may find interesting or a place to ramble on about things that no one wants to listen to you talk about normally...

Was there a blog writers instruction manual that I missed???

BERLIN (AP) -- More than 1,000 toads have puffed up and exploded in a Hamburg pond in recent weeks, and German scientists have no explanation for what's causing it. Both the pond water and body parts of the toads have been tested, but scientists have been unable to find a bacteria or virus that would cause the toads to swell up and pop. The toads at a pond in the upscale neighbourhood of Altona have been blowing up since the beginning of the month, filling up like balloons until their stomachs suddenly burst.
