I have become a happy homemaker! (Okay mom, I know what you are thinking, you don't have to say it!)

Yesterday after a long and unsuccessful search for pillows to match my room, I decided to make them. Pulled out the sewing machine and all, what is wrong with me?

The one that is finished looks great though, just need to get around to making the second one now. I hope I will have time to do it before I go away again on Sunday.

How's this for a hotel room....

I noticed this morning that although I have two separate pictures in my room, one over the desk and one over the bed, that they are in fact the exact same picture.

My theory is that they were too lazy to shop for more than one painting, or that they bought the same one in bulk for super cheap.

Or maybe it is just that most people do not spend enough time in a hotel room to notice that the pictures are in fact identical to each other.

Either way, tomorrow is my last night at this beautiful hotel, I am not going to complain.

Letter to Avenue Nissan Sales Limited

To Whom it may Concern:

I wanted to comment on service I received while at your dealership this past week. I have been shopping for a new car for a little while now and have been interested in the X-trail. I came into your dealership to look at the X-Trail and was hoping to take a test drive and get some information. When I came in, I felt very brushed off by the gentleman helping me. I asked questions about the car I was given yes and no answers and told that "the information you need is all on the sticker on the window." When I asked about a test drive I was told that "yes, there are some on the lot to test drive" and that "the dealership was open Monday to Thursday until 9pm and I should come then."

I felt like I was treated with disrespect as a young woman and was not taken seriously as a car buyer. I am still interested in this car, but will not be purchasing one from your location. Customer service is a huge part of purchasing a car and it is very important to have an established relationship with a car company.

I wanted to bring this to your attention, and remind you that no matter what people look like walking through your doors, everyone deserves to be treated with the same level of respect.

Thank you very much for your time.

Now, if only I can find the right place to send it to since the website doesnt seem to want to accept it...

The internet is a wonderful place when planning travel. You can learn all about hotels that you wouldn't learn about in cities you would never go to if you didn't have to and find out all the ways to get there. With the amount of travel I have to work, mapquest is my most used site for driving directions.

So this week, I am in Windsor. Is there anything to do in Windsor? (I apparently have nothing better to do that complain about my hotel...)

We are staying at the fantastic Howard Johnston Express. According to the website... It is a brand new hotel (opened in March 2000) with a business center, meeting/banquet facilities, room service, fitness center, tennis etc.

Sounds not too bad, and pretty cheap too.

Of course... As I am pulling into the hotel... I start to wonder about all of these facilities. The HOJO express is pretty small, right off the highway, and has no elevator. Definitely has no fitness center. I was thinking about finding a different hotel before I even came because it is important to me to have somewhere to workout. Then it just keeps getting better... My room has a broken window, nice crack in it just enough to let in a draft. When I tried to turn on the heater to counteract the draft, it set off the smoke detector in the room. Went to wash my face with a brown face cloth, went to dry my face with an almost white one with holes in it.

doesn't look like I am going to win on this one.

So, since I am bored, and in Windsor with nothing to do... I wrote an email to HOJO to complain about false claims on their website. Lets see what happens.

Left a message for winners customer service a week ago, they never called back.
